Following its loss against Invictus Gaming on Friday, Fnatic announced it would be subbing out top laner Paul "sOAZ" Boyer for Gabriël "Bwipo" Rau for the team's match against G-Rex on Saturday.

SOAZ played incredibly well on the Sion pick in Friday's game against Invictus Gaming. He was able to stop his opponents' crucial early Baron kill by solo ulting into the pit, knocking up the enemy carries and almost killing them both. The game seemed like it could turn in Fnatic's favor after sOAZ flashed a wall to engage onto Invictus Gaming, allowing his team to pick off the opponent's support and mid laner.

Despite sOAZ's performance, Fnatic fell to the Chinese team before announcing it would change up its roster. Many fans have speculated sOAZ will be subbed out for Bwipo's aggressive play style to take advantage of G-Rex's weakness in the top lane.

Bwipo received the EU LCS one-of-a-kind award Most Outstanding Rookie of 2018 for his performance over the year both on the European stage and at this year's Mid-Season Invitational. The rookie had replaced sOAZ during the spring split due to a hand injury, and even filled in for the team's star AD Carry Martin "Rekkles" Larsson during the summer split.

Fnatic will play the third team hailing from the LMS G-Rex on Saturday for Day 4 of the League of Legends World Championship group stage at approximately 7 a.m. ET.
