For Dota 2 fans, 2018 has been a wild year. OG won The International 8, the game had many updates, a new hero was announced -- it seemed to have it all, and it's not even over yet! In the next two months there's a lot to check out, so here's the three most exciting things coming to Dota 2 before 2019!
During The International 8, Valve released Grimstroke but also teased a new hero nammed Mars. Mars is styled like a Roman soldier and is seen summoning an entire legion in his hero reveal trailer. The hero is scheduled to come out in Winter, so let's cross our fingers and pray that Valve meant it.
2. Update 7.20
It's no secret that Dota 2's meta needs some shaking up. In the months following TI8, the game received two minor updates, both of which consisted solely of nerfs and didn't really affect the state of the game all that much. But 7.20 is going to be massive, and it's hopefully coming within the next month.
1. Kuala Lumpur Major
The first Major of the season is going to be simply awesome. Just look at PGL's talent lineup, which features some of the best casters, analysts and Dota personalities from around the world. They even got Henrik "AdmiralBulldog" Ahnberg -- something Valve couldn't do for two Internationals in a row.
