War Mode: Conquest, a new game mode from PUBG Corp, arrived Thursday on the PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS PC Public Test Server in PUBG PC Patch 23.

According to the patch notes, the new PUBG game mode pits two teams of 50 players against one another as they vie for control of objective areas. While a team has control of an objective, it will accrue points over time. The team with the most points at the end of the match wins.

PUBG Corp has also added the ability to change several of the settings in War Mode: Conquest, including the size of the capture area circle. The developer plans to release its own recommended settings for the game mode "at a later date." Replays are also expected to become available down the line.

War Mode: Conquest was originally leaked Sept. 9 in the geyser of information that included a map for what might be PUBG's upcoming snow map, allegedly named Vikendi.

The game mode arrives in PUBG PC Patch 23 alongside the Skorpion pistolchanges to the blue zone and several quality of life changes and bug fixes.
