Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok will stay with longtime team SK Telecom T1 for the next season of League Champions Korea, the team announced Tuesday.
Faker is one of three League of Legends players staying on the team's roster, alongside support Lee "Effort" Sang-ho and bot laner Han "Leo" Gyeo-re. The seven other players the team fielded in the previous LCK season have all been released, signaling a major shakeup for SKT.

SKT's dramatic rebuilding hardly comes as a surprise. The team's career-low seventh place finish in the LCK summer split and its first failure to qualify for the League of Legends World Championship appear to have forced its hand.
That slump had previously generated speculation that Faker would leave the only team he'd ever played for in search of greener pastures. Reporting by Inven indicated SKT would lose three of its players
SKT's announcement should quiet the rumor mill at least for now.
