​Rasmus "Caps" Winther is set to join G2 Esports and leave Fnatic, according to a report Tuesday by ESPN.

​​Caps is set to leave Fnatic and join G2 Esports in a move that would reportedly move current G2 mid laner Luka "PerkZ" Perković to the bottom lane. 

According to the report, G2 is also interested in Misfits support Mihael "Mikyx" Mehle. 

Fnatic finished second at the ​League of Legends World Championship after getting swept 3-0 by Invictus Gaming in the finals. If the move goes through, despite the role swap, it would unite two of Europe's top talents in the region. 

The reports comes off the heels of the ​EU LCS rebranding to the LEC​Four new organizations were accepted as franchises, while six previous EU LCS teams were franchised as well. 

G2 Esports did not respond to ESPN Esports' request for a comment.
