French Fortnite professional RxTSkite took home the trophy at the first ever Fortnite Winter Royale on Saturday at the event's European finals.

Skite topped the leaderboards in a tournament with 200 competitors in its quarterfinals stage, a phenomenon unique to battle royale esports. Skite's massive 10 point finish in the final round of competition propelled him over the top to 42 points. He finished just two points ahead of second place finisher MrSavageM -_-. The two players held the same number of wins at five each, but were differentiated by their ability to pick up eliminations.

RxTSkite will take home $75,000 of the tournament's $500,000 prize pool.

The EU finals represent just half of the Fortnite Winter Royale, which continues Dec. 11 at 6 p.m. ET. The full schedule is available here. Currently, TB Fulmer sits in first place with 41 points and three wins out of nine matches played. The tournament will wrap up the following day.
