A PUBG leak revealed by datamining the game's files revealed Monday a release date for the PUBG PlayStation 4 Public Test Server, a new player ranking system and rank-based rewards possibly coming to PUBG.

According to files datamined in PUBG's live client, PUBG PS4 will receive its first test server Dec. 19, a week and a half after the game's Dec. 7 launch date.

Also included in Monday's data mine were a list of new ranks potentially on their way to PUBG. The ranks are, from lowest to highest, Beginner, Novice, Experienced, Skilled, Specialist, Expert, Survivor and Lone Survivor. Each rank has a sub-rank from one to five.

Although players can be promoted and demoted from ranks based on their performance, only the top 1,000 players will obtain the rank of Lone Survivor. Players who are inactive for more than a week will be removed from the leaderboard. At the end of each season, players will receive rewards based on the highest rank they achieved over the course of the season.

It's not yet clear which of these features is headed to PUBG PC, PUBG Xbox, PUBG PS4, or some combination of the three.

PUBG's first ranking system went live on PUBG PC Oct. 2 in PUBG PC Patch 22. It employed a metal-based ranking system that divided players from bronze to grand master. PUBG Corp previously stated a ranking system would arrive on PUBG Xbox in January.
