Fortnite Creative mode was revealed by Epic Games in an announcement Wednesday. Through the Fortnite Creative mode, players will receive their own private island and design their dream Fortnite map to play on.

Epic Games announced Fortnite Creative will go live on Dec. 13 for free. "Design games, race around the island, battle your friends in new ways and build your dream Fortnite. It’s all happening on your own private island where everything you make is saved," the post read. "Fortnite Creative is new and exciting, but not final. We’ll be adding many new features and improvements over the next few updates."

Epic Games' video explained players can host matches on the islands or even record gameplay to use for shorts.
