The PUBG PTS PS4 comes out this week, as PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS is set to launch on Sony's PlayStation 4 on Friday, bringing the original battle royale heavyweight to its fourth platform. Leaks on the PUBG subreddit have suggested that PUBG PS4 will receive its first ever public test server soon after.
Here's everything we know about that PUBG PS4 test server update.
PUBG PTS PS4: Release Date
PUBG PS4 is scheduled to release in just two days, bringing exclusive content to PS4 users on top of the game itself. A leak posted to Reddit on Monday seemed to suggest the platform would receive its first test server just a week and a half after that release date, on Dec. 19.
The leak hasn't been confirmed, but such an early test server could make some sense. If PUBG Corp intends to release Vikendi, its fourth addition to the game's map pool, relatively close to the PUBG PS4 launch, an early test server would be a necessary step in that process.
What Will Be On the PUBG PS4 PTS?
Right now, the most likely piece of content arriving on the PUBG PS4 test server is Vikendi. As the developer has publicly announced that PUBG PS4 will launch alongside Survivor Pass: Vikendi, it would make sense the map that shares the pass's name would become available as soon as possible.
Placing Vikendi on the test server would also fall in line with PUBG Corp's Tuesday statement that PUBG PS4 will launch without Vikendi.
Another feature possibly appearing on the test server is one that will hit the PUBG Xbox test servers sometime next week: the ability to adjust graphics in the game's settings.
