Carolo "Kuku" Pala will take a temporary personal leave from Dota 2 team TNC Predator, the organization revealed.
We would like to inform our community that Kuku has decided to take a personal leave. Just to clarify, Kuku is still part of our roster.— TNC Predator (@TNCPredator) December 8, 2018
Ryoyr will be standing in for the meantime. Thank you.
TNC Predator announced Kuku will take a personal break from the team, though he is still on the roster. Kuku will be replaced by ryOyr in the meantime, which likely means Kuku will be absent until after the Dota 2 Chongqinq Major.
Kuku stirred up major controversy after it was revealed he said a racist comment. The situation grew larger when TNC Predator attempted to cover up the situation and when news of Kuku possibly being banned from the Dota 2 Major by the Chinese city government became known, Valve stepped in to declare an official ruling on the situation.
Dota 2 commentators and casters voiced their opinions on the matter and some threatened to pull from the Major should Kuku not be allowed to compete.
The Chongqinq Major will begin Jan. 19 in China.
