When looking at a Pokemon's stats, players will often see one stat highlighted with red, and another highlighted with blue. These indicate advantages and disadvantages that the Pokemon has. A red highlight indicates the Pokemon will become stronger in that stat than others, while blue indicates that stat will grow more slowly.

For example, a Pokemon with red attack and blue special defense will gain attack more quickly than the average Pokemon, but will gain special defense more slowly.
