Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 Release Information: Everything We Know So Far

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3's release date is still unknown. Thus far, the only thing known about the upcoming action RPG is that it is scheduled for a 2019 release.
The third installment in the Marvel: Ultimate Alliance series, the franchise returns after a ten-year absence since 2009's Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2. Revealed at The Game Awards 2018, Ultimate Alliance 3 will be exclusive to the Nintendo Switch and will be the first-ever Marvel game to be published by Nintendo; the previous installments were handled by Activision.
Each Ultimate Alliance game had a different developer, and Ultimate Alliance 3 is no exception. UA3 is developed by Koei Tecmo's Team Ninja, most famous for the Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive series, and also responsible for titles such as Nioh or Metroid: Other M. They are the most well-known developers to handle the Ultimate Alliance property.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 Release Date
With the game's launch in 2019, a summer release is to be expected to coincide with the Marvel Cinematic Universe films releasing at similar times, such as Avengers: Endgame or Spider-Man: Far From Home.
The previous game was released in 2009, just after the original Iron Man film and before the MCU had taken shape. Reflecting that time difference, this game is more heavily influenced by the Marvel Cinematic Universe than the previous titles which worked primarily off the comics as source material. Examples are the Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, and the Inhumans. However, non-MCU properties such as the X-Men are still prominent among the playable characters or enemies.
