The Shanghai Dragons won its first game against the Boston Uprising. The victory marks the team's first victory not only of Season 2 but in the history of the Shanghai Dragons in the Overwatch League. 

​​The Shanghai Dragons officially secured its first win in the Overwatch League against the Boston Uprising. After facing and losing against the Vancouver Titans, made up of tight-knit Korean Contenders team RunAway, and the Hangzhou Spark, the Shanghai Dragons' third match of Season 2 was against the Boston Uprising. The Dragons were able to take the first two maps with ease and secured their first victory in the third map on Horizon Lunar Colony.


Boston Uprising transferred its main tank ​Noh "Gamsu" Young-jin to the Shanghai Dragons just before Season 2 began. The Dragons also recently announced its tank player, Lee "Fearless" Eui-seok, was returning to Korea for an unknown amount of time on a break. 


The series against Uprising ended with Shanghai winning 3-1. The Shanghai Dragons went 0-40 in Season 1 and had a roster and staff re-haul, keeping only three of their Season 1 players, for Season 2.
