Fortnite World Cup: Everything You Need to Know
The Fortnite World Cup will officially begin April 13, according to Epic Games' announcement. There will be ten weeks of open online qualifiers until June 16, and each week will feature a prize pool of $1 million.
"The top 100 Solo players and the top 50 Duos teams from around the world will join us for the Fortnite World Cup Finals in New York City July 26-28 with a $30 million prize pool up for grabs," the post read. "Each one of those players will be guaranteed at least $50,000 and the Fortnite World Cup Solo Champion will walk away with $3 million."
Players as young as 13-years old can compete in the World Cup, epic Games said. Any fan who is 13-17-years old will need parental consent to compete, though. Any Epic Games account must also be in good standing and any penalties (like suspensions and so on) must be fully served from previously breaking any rules.
More information on how to apply and other requirements to apply will be revealed at a later date.
