PUBG Erangel Leak: PUBG Corp Addresses Rumors

Combined with the community's continuous grousing about loot balance on the map and a previous comment by PUBG community manager Hawkinz that the team was considering a rebalance, many fans postulated that rework was underway.

The developer confirmed Thursday it had begun work on redesigning PUBG's maps, starting with Erangel. As suspected by fans, the developer is exploring adding compounds to the map. It will also explore other methods of redesign.

PUBG Corp plans to start testing the changes to Erangel soon, and will share plans for the tests in the coming weeks.
