100 Thieves sent mid laner Choi "huhi" Jae-hyun to its academy roster Thursday, bringing Max "Soligo" Soong up to the LCS starting lineup.

The League of Legends lineup change comes as 100 Thieves continues to struggle in the LCS. Despite being anticipated as one of the strongest rosters in the league, the team has picked up only four wins in the spring split so far. It sits tied with Clutch Gaming and Echo Fox for the bottom of the rankings, with a 4-9 record.

"I never expected [joining the LCS roster] to come this soon," Soligo explained in a video announcement. "Especially given that 100 Thieves was hyped up to be a top three team, this kind of came out of nowhere."

The week's matches against Team SoloMid and will be Soligo's first in the LCS. In the past, he played for the University of Colorado Boulder collegiate team and several tier three teams before finally joining the 100 Thieves academy lineup in December.
