The Washington Justice signed former New York Excelsior support Yeonjoon "ArK" Hong to its Overwatch League roster Monday.
The signing came as something of a shock, as ArK played an outsized role in the New York Excelsior's success during Overwatch League Season 1. He and flex support Seonghyun "JJoNak" Bang were collectively considered one of the best support duos in the league, and ArK's Mercy play was fundamental to JJoNak's success as the highest-fragging Zenyatta in Overwatch.
ArK had appeared in relatively few matches in Season 2, largely replaced by Taeasung "Anamo" Jung as Mercy fell out of favor in the Goats meta.
On the Justice, ArK rejoins former NYXL teammate Junhwa "Janus" Song and top-tier support Gi-do "Gido" Moon. The transfer also moves him from one of the top teams in the league to one of the absolute bottom teams.
In a tweet, ArK thanked his fans for supporting him in the move.
