The latest patch to hit the Overwatch Public Test Region arrived Friday, bringing bug fixes to Doomfist, Mei, Reaper, and Symmetra.
Almost all of the changes in the Overwatch PTR patch affect abilities when they're aimed at inclining or declining planes such as stairs. Doomfist's Seismic Slam, Mei's Ice Wall, Reaper's Shadow Step, and Symmetra's Teleporter would all fail instantly if the player using the ability were looking down when activating it. This patch removes that bug from the game, making all four heroes more playable.
These changes were particularly important for Reaper and Symmetra in the wake of the last PTR patch, in which their abilities were both made more versatile.
The final PTR patch change targeted only Symmetra's Teleporter. Previously, the teleporter wouldn't fit in some short windows despite appearing to be the right size. This bug will now no longer occur.
The previous PTR patch arrived Tuesday with changes for Junkrat, Reaper, and Symmetra.
