Barred doors are a common nuisance to run into in Assassin's Creed Valhalla, requiring players to unlock them only by finding another way into the room to destroy the lock from the inside. Here's how to open the barred door in Offchurch.

As shown by YouTuber I.Eat.Games., the main obstacle in opening the Offchurch barred door is that players must first start the Tilting the Balance mission before heading over there.

The mission is located in Ledecestrescire and is a part of The Kingsmaker's Saga.

Instead of coming to the Offchurch crypt early and defeating the enemies there for no reason, make sure you are in progress of completing the Tilting the Balance mission, which takes you there anyway.

Once at Offchurch during the mission:

  • Follow the quest marker down into the crypt.
  • Work your way into the room with the skirmisher holding a key and take him out.
  • Break the lock on the barred door.

Ultimately, it turns out that the Offchurch barred door doesn't require a key, and is really easy to gain access to as long as you are doing the Tilting the Balance mission.
