Aegislash Evolution, Location, Stats in Pokemon Sword and Shield

Aegislash is a Pokemon making its return after debuting in Pokemon X and Y. This Pokemon sports a Steel/Ghost type pairing, and still has the unique ability "Stance Change," allowing it to swap between Defense, or Offensive or stances depending on the move it's used.

Here's what you'll need to know about Aegislash in Pokemon Sword and Shield.

Aegislash Location and Rarity: Pokemon Sword and Shield

Aegislash can be found in one specific spot, but needs a weather system. The first being found in the wild at "Giant's Cap," but only while there's fog.

The second way to obtain an Aegislash is in Max Raid Battles at Watchtower Ruins.

Aegislash Evolution: Pokemon Sword and Shield

Aegislash is the third evolution of the Pokemon "Honedge." At level 35, Honedge evolves into "Doublade." The only way to evolve a Doublade into an Aegislash is with the use of a Dusk Stone.

You can also find unevolved Doublades in the same place you can find Aegislash in the wild, at Giant's Cap. Just make sure you have a Dusk Stone!

Aegislash Stats: Pokemon Sword and Shield

Aegislash has two sets of stats: One for it's defense stance, and one fore offense. According to Serebii, here are the stats for both:

The Stance Change ability is crucial to Aegislash's success. It will only change stances if it uses any kind of attack, so using abilities like Swords Dance will not cause it to change stances. However, if you take damage while in offense stance, you will take a lot of damage.
