Matthew "Akaadian" Higginbotham will replace Jonathan "Grig" Armao as the starting jungler in Team SoloMid's League of Legends lineup, the team announced Wednesday.
Grig will remain with TSM, but he will return to the team's League of Legends academy roster. He will continue to practice with that roster and the starting LCS roster for the rest of the season. TSM plans to reveal further details in an upcoming installment of TSM Legends, the web documentary series the team produces.
After a long process, we have decided to move forward with @akaadian as our primary Jungler for our LCS team. @TSM_grig will remain a part of #TSM, and continue to practice with both the Academy and LCS teams for the rest of the season. More details in the upcoming TSM Legends.— TSM (@TSM) July 16, 2019
Grig first joined TSM as an academy player, taking on the jungle role for its academy team in December 2017. He was moved to the LCS roster in June 2018, when he and the team earned a fifth place finish in the summer split, and second in summer split playoffs. He again played for the academy team from February to May, and now returns to its lineup.
Akaadian has spent less time with TSM as an organization, having joined the academy roster in December 2018. The following month he was moved to the LCS roster, where he's remained since.
