All SEGA Genesis Games Coming to the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack

Nintendo recently announced a new premium offering to their video game subscription service called the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack, which launches on Oct. 25, 2021, and will only be offered in annual subscription periods. It costs $49.99 USD for an individual plan and $79.99 for a family plan for 12 months.

The expansion pack is an optional upgrade that gives its members the access to all of the features of its base membership, but also a collection of nine Nintendo 64 games, the first paid DLC for Animal Crossing: New Horizons titled "Happy Home Paradise," and 14 SEGA Genesis games.

Here is the full list of the 14 SEGA Genesis titles that will be included in the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack on day one:

• Contra: Hard Corps
• Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine
• Ecco the Dolphin
• Golden Axe
• Gunstar Heroes
• M.U.S.H.A.
• Phantasy Star 4: The End of the Millennium
• Ristar
• Shining Force
• Shinobi 3
• Sonic the Hedgehog 2
• Streets of Rage 2
• Strider

According to Nintendo, the 14 SEGA Genesis titles will allow Switch players to save their games whenever they like with suspend points, quickly rewind gameplay and play online with up to two players.

Additionally, more SEGA Genesis games will be added to the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack in the future.
