Animal Crossing Nooklink will have an update in early October to feature Reactions support.

Animal Crossing Nooklink Update Brings Reaction Support

Nintendo released a video detailing new Halloween updates for Animal Crossing: New Horizons. At the end of the video, Nintendo revealed an upcoming update for the Nook Link companion app.

The update would allow users to use Reactions from their mobile devices, much like the chat feature. It will give more flexibility when playing the game online with friends, letting you use a more familiar interface without having to fumble through menus. Your reactions will also be listed in full, so you have every reaction at your fingertips without having to assign favorites.

The video also teased the new Haunt and Scare Reactions through the app. Your islander will be able to learn these two new reactions during the Halloween event by giving Jack candy. You'll want to save up candy from the Nook's shop in preparation for the event on Oct. 31.

So far, Reactions are the only new addition confirmed for the Nook Link update. It's unlikely we'll get more, as the update arrives within a week.
