Animal Crossing's Sanrio Cards have arrived in the US for the first time in franchise history. On March 26, the amiibo cards will be available for purchase exclusively at Target stores across the country. They will also be released in Canada, Japan, and Europe.

Originally released in Europe and Japan for the first time in 2016, the amiibo Sanrio Cards will provide Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Animal Crossing: New Leaf players with Sanrio-themed perks. While these unique cards unlock new villagers, furniture, and outfits in New Leaf, they will only offer a variety of posters in New Horizons.

Sanrio, a Japanese company, is recognized for characters such as Hello Kitty, My Melody, Kuromi, and Aggretsuko. For Animal Crossing: New Leaf, the unlockable villagers include Rilla, Marty, Étoile, Chai, Chelsea, and Toby.

Nintendo's announcement regarding the return of Sanrio Cards coincides with the reveal of Animal Crossing: New Horizon's January update, which adds the Festivale celebration alongside a variety of new perks and seasonal items. Animal Crossing fans have a lot to look forward to in the coming months.
