Apex Legends Alternator nerf went live Friday as part of a weapon balancing issue.
Apex Legends Season 2 players complained that the Alternator sub-machine gun with the special ammunition was too strong. The weapon was melting through enemy shields resulting in some unbalanced gun fights.
Here's everything you need to know about the Alternator nerf in Apex Legends Season 2.
Apex Legends Alternator Nerf: Disruptor Rounds Damage Reduced
Here's the Disruptor rounds change that went live, according to the patch notes:
Change to Disruptor Rounds Hop-Up
- Reduced the shield damage multiplier from 2.26 to 1.7. It's a minor tweak while we evaluate the full weapon meta next week.
The .56 damage nerf is a temporary tweak as Respawn Entertainment and Electronic Arts aim to look at the full weapon meta soon.
Additionally, Respawn removed the location based Daily Challenges due to how it was affecting the game. A Ranked playlist leaving penalty was also disabled due to some bugs resulting of the issue. Although, penalties can still be handed out while the bugs are being dealt with.
The July 5 Apex Legends patch is now live on all platforms: PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
