Apex Legends Chaos Theory Weapon Changes

So what is actually changing with the upcoming Chaos Theory? Well, a lot. Weapons for example, are having a bit of a re-haul to try and even out the playing field for everyone.

Shotgun (Mastiff)

  • Nerf: Pellet damage decreased from 13 to 11.
  • Buff: Fire rate increased from 1.0 to 1.1.

Pistol, Heavy (Wingman)

  • Buff: Every magazine size has increased by one.

Assault Rifle, Heavy (Hemlok)

  • Nerf: Hip-fire spread increased to nerf close-range accuracy.

Fully Kitted Weapons, (Various)

  • All gold ARs and LMGs are now equipped with a 2x Bruiser optic.

  • Players now have the ability to switch out the optics on any fully-kitted weapon.

While these weapons changes are fairly standard, the unreleased 'Marksman' class weapon spotted on the dev stream, is causing a bit of ruckus. It is not the first time that something has been revealed via dev stream - intentional or not. Despite this however, a lot of the weapons or equipment seen often do not make it into the game for some time as they still need work.
