To compensate for the game-crashing MIL-SPEC Bangalore skin released on Jan. 4, Respawn has gifted affected Apex Legends players a free thematic pack.

Apex Legends Developers Gift Free Packs to Players Affected by Bangalore Skin

Many players were excited to see the new Bangalore skin in store available to purchase, and bought it right away. However, they were unfortunately greeted with their games crashing every time they jumped into a match with the skin equipped. The developers were quick to act and temporarily disabled the cosmetic until a fix was implemented on Jan. 13.

Now to apologize for the issue, the developers have gifted any players affected with a free thematic Bangalore pack. The pack will only be available to those who purchased the MIL-SPEC skin between Jan. 4-13, as this was the time in which it was disabled.

Many players have found it relieving to know that Respawn is taking accountability for the issue, even with rewarding players with something as small as a thematic pack. It shows that they want to keep the best interest of their players in mind.

The free gift should appear automatically in your account if you qualify for the pack, so there are no steps you need to follow to get your hands on one.
