Apex Legends Fan Tracks Most Popular Drop Locations

Apex Legends fan u/ZYy9oQ created a series of heat maps showing the most popular drop locations in the game using data collected from over 120,000 games.

ZYy9oQ generated the data from each game using a game tracker they built themselves that catalogs almost everything each player using it does in an Apex Legends match.

By aggregating those games, ZYy9oQ created several heat maps showing the most popular drop locations in the game. The maps reveal differences among Season 2 ranked drops, Season 2 unranked drops, Season 1 drops, and several more parameters.

According to ZYy9oQ, Market is the popular drop location in Season 2 ranked games, followed by Water Treatment and Skull Town. Unranked players are far more likely to congregate in Skull Town, followed by Market, with a steep drop off after that. Season 1's preference for Skull Town is even more striking.
