Apex Legends Legend Tier List January 2021
By Brian Gilmartin
As we head into the last month of Apex Legends Season 7: Ascension, we have the tiers of the best and worst Legends in the game right now. We ranked the Legends by taking into account all the buffs and nerfs that have happened, the abilities each Legend has, and how useful they can be to a team and in one-on-one situations.
The order of tiers goes from S to C, with S being the best Legends in the game, and C being the worst.
Apex Legends Legend Tier List January 2021
S-Tier
1. Wraith
Wraith has consistently been one of the best Legends in the game from the beginning. Her Dimensional Rift is always useful in a tight spot and her passive ability Voices from the Void warns you that enemies are targeting you, eliminating the element of surprise.
2. Bloodhound
Bloodhound is another Legend that has consistently been ranked as one of the best. The Eye of the Allfather ability reveals enemies and traps to you and teammates in tight quarters, and the Beast of the Hunt is top-notch for one on one's.
3. Horizon
Horizon is one that many players have found great use for. The best ability being the Black Hole, which pulls players in and allows you and your teammates to focus all your shots, or allows you time to escape.
A- Tier
4. Lifeline
Lifeline is a great addition to your squad for health purposes. Nothing to add offensively, but having one in your squad to heal your teammates up while fighting is a massive help.
5. Revenant
Revenant's Death Totem helps protect your teammates from death. This ability used prior to a fight makes him invaluable to your squad.
6. Crypto
Crypto's surveillance drone helps give you and your team a look at what's around you. It also has an EMP that can absolutely destroy many Legends ultimate, making him the best Recon Legend out now.
7. Gibraltar
The Dome of Protection is a key player when either healing up or getting cover for your squad. His passive gun shield can also be a difference maker when it comes to one on one's
8. Pathfinder
Always a fan favorite, Pathfinder is great for one on one's with the grappling hook, and is useful in your squad to help figure out positioning with Recon abilities. Unfortunately, his grappling hook got a nerf, which is why he isn't in the S-tier any longer.
B-Tier
9. Caustic
Caustic's Nox Gas traps can help reveal an enemy to you and your teammates, but he's typically only very useful in tight spaces. Open field battles he is slow, and his gas traps are ineffective.
10. Bangalore
Bangalore has always been a steady favorite of the fan base. Pairing her with other legends like bloodhound or Caustic makes her smoke screen incredibly effective, but her ultimate isn't as effective on Olympus.
11. Loba
Loba has been nerfed and buffed a lot recently. While she's useful for looting in the beginning of the game, she's not as useful to the entire squad outside of that.
12. Mirage
Mirage has great abilities for one on one's, but his abilities don't help the team at large.
C-Tier
13. Rampart
Rampart's Sheila machine gun and amped cover can be useful, but if you don't set them up in the right spot, they can also be completely useless by leaving yourself vulnerable.
14. Octane
Octane's down in the C-tier because of his team usefulness. The jump pad can help movement wise, but outside of that, it doesn't help much at all.
15. Wattson
Wattson can help secure a building, outside of that, she's not of much use. She's consistently been on of the least used Legends, and it's very apparent as to why.
