An Apex Legends patch shipped Friday, Nov. 5, has added several balance changes to the game, including nerfs for the Triple Take and EVA-8, and a buff for the G7 Scout.
Both the Triple Take and the EVA-8 Auto already received changes in the Apex Legends Season 11 update that shipped earlier this week, but developer Respawn Entertainment determined those changes were insufficient in trying to bring these weapons into line with the rest of the Apex Legends arsenal.
On the flip side, the G7 Scout received a pair of buffs.
Respawn Entertainment's live associate live balance designer John "JayBiebs" Larson explained the changes on Twitter. Where the Triple Take's headshot multiplier has been brought in line with other Marksman weapons, the EVA-8 Auto change was made because the shotgun is "much more forgiving than Mastiff/PK, and the damage differential doesn't seem as wide as it should be when considering the others." Finally, the Scout needed extra ammo "as the signature mid/long range suppressor."
Here are the changes included in update:
Apex Legends Nov. 5 Patch Notes
