One Apex Legends player may have uncovered the game's very own Mandela Effect in the form of a secret tunnel in Kings Canyon.
Some of the best games are characterized by the ability to discover something new every time a player loads in. AAA titles such as The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim boast this feature--and now it appears that Apex Legends does, too. Reddit user Sametg73 posted their discovery on the official Apex Legends subreddit, posing the question: "since when is there this tunnel on Kings Canyon?"

According to the majority of veteran Apex players, that answer is "always." Several commented on Sametg73's post quickly after its publication on Saturday, Sept. 11 verifying their use of the tunnel.
"It's ancient, I s*** you not, it's been that little part of the swamp for as long as I can remember," wrote Eineegoist.
m0os3e replied, "Yes I used it to sneak up on people before, by going around them during a fight."
The tunnel is so old, in fact, that FreddyPlayz thought it was possible that the developers, themselves, had forgotten all about it. They wondered if the team would be "just as surprised as OP when they see this post."
Others shared nostalgic moments of the area from early on in their Apex careers, noting the exact moment they learned about it or visited for the first time.
HereToDoThingz explained that they "learned about it in season one or two when [the developers] posted a patch note that said we buffed the secret loot cave."
"The first game of Apex I ever played (in S0) we won when the final ring ended in Swamps. I'll always have a soft spot for it." GoTeamScotch wrote.
Unsurprisingly, much like Sametg73, there were a handful of players amazed at the discovery of the tunnel. It just goes to show that—even in a game running as long as Apex Legends has—there could always be a secret, hidden, or "ancient" location waiting to be explored.
