Apex Legends Season 2 'Battle Charged' Launch Date Revealed
The second season of Apex Legends is scheduled to reach live servers July 2. With it comes a new weapon called the L-Star. The L-Star will be a care package weapon that fires its own unique ammo fully automatically.
The new season will also add Wattson, the next playable Legend. Wattson's abilities focus on her research into electronics, allowing her to place electrified traps with her tactical ability and block incoming projectiles with her ultimate. Her passive ability makes ultimate accelerants fully charge her ultimate in a single use.
Battle Charged will swap the Battle Pass to a challenge-based rewards system and give players enough crafting materials to craft their own legendary weapon.
A ranked mode with six tiers, from Bronze to Apex Predator, will create different matchmaking queues for each tier. Players will earn rewards based on their final tier at season's end.
