Apex Legends Season 4 Brings Major Loot Changes Including New Sniper Ammo

Apex Legends Season 4 kicked off Tuesday on the one year anniversary of the battle royale's launch.
Season 4, titled Assimilation, introduces a new Legend called Revenant, a new Battle Pass, map changes and re-balances to loot across the map. The loot changes affect sniper rifles, weapons and ammo.
Channel the spirit of vengeance with Revenant, enter the updated World’s Edge map, and take aim with the Sentinel, all beginning Feb 4 with Season 4 - Assimilation.

Here's a full list of the loot changes, according to the patch notes:
New Loot: Sniper Ammo
- All snipers now take new ammo type - Sentinel, Longbow DMR, Triple Take, Charge Rifle
- New attachment: extended magazine for Sniper ammo
Energy Ammo
- Now gives 30 ammo per pickup instead of 20
Removed Loot
- The following items have been removed from the game: Turbocharger hop-up, Extended mags for energy ammo
Gold Backpack
- UI update to better convey to the player when they are using or being revived with the perk
Weapons
Iron sights will be updated during Season 4 to represent more authentic and accurate aiming. The following weapons will be updated during the season:
- Longbow DMR
- Triple Take
- Charge Rifle
- Sentinel
- Havoc
- R-301
- Flatline
- Spitfire
- R-99
- Alternator
- Mozambique
- Mastiff
- RE-45
- Wingman
G7 Scout
- Moved from Sniper to Assault Rifle class
- Now only accepts AR optics and attachments
- Still accepts Double Tap hop-up
- Contributes to stats/challenges for ARs
- Reduced fire rate from 4.5 to 4.0
- Increasing time between shots for Double Tap from 0.425 to 0.475
- Fix bug where G7 had 0 ADS air spread
L-Star
- No longer a crate weapon, can be found around the map
- Uses energy ammo
- Reloading has been removed and the weapon will now overheat
- Damage reduced per shot from 19 to 18
- Rate of Fire decreased from 12 to 10
- Less horizontal view kick
Devotion
- Removed from loot pool and is now a crate weapon
- Magazine size: 54
- Total ammo stock: 162
- Turbocharger functionality
Havoc
- No longer accepts the Turbocharger hop-up but can still equip Select Fire
- Decreased time between shots when using Select Fire from .77 to .56
R-99
- Reduced damage per shot from 12 to 11
- Increased magazine side for first three tiers:
- Base: 18 to 20
- Common: 20 to 22
- Rare: 23 to 24
- Epic: 27
Prowler
- Increased damage per shot from 14 to 15
Hemlok
- Increased single-shot rate of fire from 5.6 to 6.4
Wingman
Adjusted magazine sizes:
- Base: 4 to 5
- Common: 6
- Rare: 8 to 7
- Epic: 10 to 8
EVA-8
- Double Tap hop-up: reduced the delay between bursts from 0.85 to 0.80
Mastiff
- Fixed an exploit that players discovered and reported where you could rapidly fire the Mastiff
Gold Weapons
The following weapons are included in the Gold set for Season 4:
- Havoc
- P2020
- Sentinel
- Prowler
- R-301
