Apex Legends Season 5 will be called "Fortune's Favor" and bring changes to ranked, according to a now-removed leak on the Electronic Arts website.

The leak, spotted by an unofficial Dev Tracker, showed a blog post discussing Ranked Series Four, which would begin at the outset of Season 5. An apparent copy of the post can still be read on the DevTracker, but leads to a 404 page on the EA website.

"We’re back again to talk about Ranked Leagues Series 4 for Apex Legends," the blog post reads. "As usual, we’ll take a look at our goals, talk about some results, and detail how Ranked Leagues will work when Season 5 - Fortune’s Favor launches."

Series 3 proved mostly successful for ranked, and Apex Legends will reportedly stick with 6-week splits before resets. Switching maps mid-season will also continue into Series 4.

Series 4 will introduce the ability to reconnect to matches after bugs or connection problems force players out of a match. Players can reconnect as long as the match from which they were removed is still running.

Respawn Entertainment has not confirmed the name of Apex Legends Season 5 or any of the information about Ranked Series 4. Apex Legends Season 5 is scheduled to begin May 12, at the conclusion of the Battle Armor event.
