Respawn Entertainment postponed the Valentine's Day Rendezvous event until Wednesday per a Tuesday announcement. The developer did not provide a reason for the delay.

"Unfortunately the Valentine's Day Rendezvous event is postponed until tomorrow and we'll provide updates when it goes live," Respawn wrote on Twitter. "Sorry for any confusion!"

The Valentine's Day Rendezvous event was originally scheduled to begin Tuesday and run through Feb. 18. Apex Legends players will be able to play the game in teams of two for the duration of the event, and will earn a special Valentine's Day 2020 badge for logging in at any point over the course of the event.

Respawn has not announced plans to extend the event to compensate for the delayed start.

Respawn Entertainment launched Apex Legends Season 4 on Feb. 4. The new season brought with it a new playable character named Revenant, a new sniper rifle named The Sentinel, a sniper rifle-specific ammo type, and several changes to the World's Edge map.
