Our take on the Apex Legends weapon tiers heading into the month of August and Season 10: Emergence is here.

We've picked out some of the best weapons heading into Season 10. Thanks to the Emergence patch notes, we were able to make some predictions about which weapons will reign supreme and which will likely be left on the bench. Each weapon has been sorted into four tiers from "S" to "C" according to how we think they'll perform this month.

Feel free to check out last month's list, as well, to get a grasp on the weapon direction for the future.

Apex Legends Weapon Tier List August 2021

S-Tier

  • Havoc
  • Kraber
  • R-301 Carbine
  • R-99
  • Rampage

The first four weapons have seen no changes in the past few weeks so they should continue on their dominant trajectory.

With that boring explanation over with, let's talk about the biggest star in the Season 10 artillery: the Rampage LMG. Thanks to Rampart, when combined with a thermite grenade, this weapon is able to decimate enemies with an "overclocked" rate of fire. It's been placed in the S-Tier due to its intense potential.

A-Tier

  • 30-30 Repeater
  • Longbow
  • EVA-8
  • VK-47 Flatline
  • Bocek Bow
  • Peacekeeper
  • Sentinel
  • L-Star
  • Wingman

The 30-30 received a massive buff to projectile speed and recharge time thanks to the July 13 patch. A second buff to its reload speed has it moving it up to the A-Tier in Emergence. It replaces the Spitfire, which has been placed into the supply drop category this season. The Longbow damage buff has gifted it a more permanent place here.

Additionally, the small nerf to the EVA-8 has kept it out of the S-Tier. What a shame, considering its recent popularity.

We need to talk about the tweaks to the L-Star, as well. Developers have heavily increased the amount of modifications players can make with barrels for recoil and Energy Mags to manage its overheating. That has pulled it out of the B-Tier, but it still remains pretty close. We're optimistic, but we'll see how it goes.

B-Tier

  • M600 Spitfire
  • Mastiff
  • G7 Scout
  • Charge Rifle
  • Devotion
  • RE-45
  • Volt SMG
  • Triple Take

The Spitfire has been nerfed once more with a nerf to its accuracy following the patch on July 13. Unfortunately, this has knocked it out of the A-Tier and relegated it to the B-Tier for the time being. It has fallen to replace the 30-30.

Suspicions about a possible Mastiff hop-up are circulating, but it isn't enough to keep the weapon on the A-Tier.

C-Tier

  • Alternator
  • Mozambique
  • P2020
  • Hemlok Burst AR
  • Prowler

The P2020 did get a significant buff on with the July 13 patch, but unfortunately, it isn't quite enough to bump it from the C-Tier—especially considering there are still better weapons on the field (read: the Rampage). The Alternator now has Disruptor rounds, but only when picked up from Supply Drops.

On top of that, the return of the Prowler without its hop-up is disappointing at best. That additional hit to its time between bursts has placed it in the C-Tier. We don't expect players to pick it up quite as eagerly anymore.
