Aphelios, Senna and Sett Nerfed in League of Legends Patch 10.8

Aphelios, Senna and Sett are among the champions receiving nerfs in League of Legends Patch 10.8, set for live server release Wednesday.

Aphelios' strength in the pro League of Legends scene led Riot Games to address his power curve and his ability to deal with the tanky front line threats he more typically faces in professional play.

As players get better with Senna, Riot Games has had to reduce her power level slightly. Sett, meanwhile, has managed early wave control too easily with his Haymaker (W).

Kalista, Master Yi and Varus also receive nerfs in the patch, wile Ashe, Evelynn, Orianna, Ryze, Soraka, Tristana, Urgot and Xayah receive buffs. See the full list of champion balance changes below.

The Hitman and the Seer (Passive)

  • Bonus armor penetration removed
  • Aphelios now gains 2/4/6/10/12 lethality

Weapons of the Faithful (Q)

  • Base damage and cooldown level scaling changed from levels 1-9 to levels 1-13
  • Moonshot damage AD ratio changed from 0.6 bonus AD to 0.42-0.6 (levels 1-13) bonus attack damage
  • Onslaught damage AD ratio changed from 0.3 bonus AD to 0.21-0.3 (levels 1-13) bonus AD
  • Binding Eclipse damage ratio changed from 0.35 bonus AD to 0.26-0.35 (levels 1-13) bonus AD
  • Duskwave damage ratio changed from 0.8 bonus AD to 0.56-0.8 (levels 1-13) bonus AD
  • Sentry damage ratio changed from 0.5 bonus AD to 0.35-0.5 (levels 1-13) bonus AD


Ranger's Focus (Q)

  • Bonus attack speed increased from 20/25/30/35/40% to 20/30/40/50/60%


Hate Spike (Q)

  • Base spike damage increased from 25/30/35/40/45 (75/90/105/120/135 maximum damage) to 30/35/40/45/50 (90/105/120/135/150 maximum damage)


  • Base armor decreased from 23 to 21

Rend (E)

  • Slow decreased from 25/30/35/40/45% to 10/18/26/34/42%

Master Yi

Highlander (R)

  • Bonus attack speed decreased from 30/55/80% to 25/45/65%


Command: Dissonance (W)

  • Ally hate/enemy slow increased from 20/25/30/35/40% to 30/35/40/45/50% movement speed

Command: Protect (E)

  • Shield ratio increased from 0.4 AP to 0.5 AP


Base Stats

  • Health increased from 570.48 to 575
  • Armor increased from 21.552 to 22
  • Attack damage increased from 55.04 to 56

Overload (Q)

  • Bonus movement speed increased from 20/25/30/35/40% when consuming two runes to 28/32/36/40/44% when consuming two runes


Absolution (Passive)

  • Mist wraith spawn chance decreased from 25% on minions Senna doesn't kill to 22% on minions Senna doesn't kill


Haymaker (W)

  • Base damage decreased from 90/120/150/180/210 to 80/105/130/155/180


  • Base mana increased from 375 to 425

Starcall (Q)

  • Mana cost decreased from 60/65/70/75/80 to 45/50/55/60/65


Explosive Charge (E)

  • Explosion damage ratio increased from 50/70/90/110/130% bonus AD to 50/75/100/125/150% bonus AD


Disdain (E)

  • Fixed a bug causing Urgot to not receive extra movement speed on dash.
  • Urgot now properly has a total CC duration of 1.5 seconds, including stun duration and time elapsed when champion is flung, as intended from patch 10.6.

Fear Beyond Death (R)

  • Cooldown decreased from 120/95/70 seconds to 100/85/70 seconds


Chain of Corruption (R)

  • Cooldown increased from 110/90/70 seconds to 130/100/70 seconds


Bladecaller (E)

  • Additional feather hit damage decreased from 10% less damage per feather to 5% less damage per feather
