Diablo fans are wondering if the Diablo 3 staple Nephalem Rifts are available in Diablo Immortal.
When it comes to continuing franchises such as Diablo, it's no surprise that fans may end up looking for their favorite parts of gameplay in each iteration. This is, of course, very true heading into Diablo Immortal. It isn't surprising that some may be looking for a familiar experience while they may be making the jump to mobile for the first time.
Nephalem Rifts are one such experience. Fortunately, it appears that players may be able to find old, well-worn methods in this brand new installation. Here's what you need to know about Nephalem Rifts in Diablo Immortal.
Nephalem Rifts in Diablo Immortal
While there aren't Nephalem Rifts in Diablo Immortal, there are Elder Rifts — which are essentially the same thing.
Players enter, progress through, and complete Elder and Challenge Rifts in the same way they would have done with Nephalem Rifts in Diablo 3. They can step up to the Rift, enter it, hack and slash their way through, and then get rewards at the very end.
Rewards at the end of Elder Rifts can be influenced using Crests, which can be purchased via the in-game shop. Certain crests can increase or guarantee the chance of some rare and/or legendary loot per successful run.
So, while the rifts players knew and loved may not be present in name, they're certainly there in spirit.
