Are There Shiny Pokémon in Mystery Dungeon DX? Yes, there are now Shiny Pokémon in Mystery Dungeon! Shiny Pokémon were not available in the original Mystery Dungeon games, but now you can find and recruit them.

Are There Shiny Pokémon in Mystery Dungeon DX?

To find a Shiny Pokémon, you have to go to a dungeon when a Strong Foe is present. It will be represented by an upside down triangle with a crown in it.

The Strong Foe has a change to appear whenever you go to a floor. That Strong Foe will have a small chance to be Shiny when it spawns, and you'll have to defeat and recruit it. You can go up and down floors to try and reset its appearance.

You'll have to defeat the Shiny Strong Foe with your leader, escort them out of the dungeon safely, and make sure you have the right camp when you get out. If you don't, you'll just get some money instead.

To increase your chances of recruitment, you can set turn off your allies' attacks so they don't finish it off. You can also use items to increase your recruitment chances, like the Inviting Orb or the Friend Bow.

Even with all these precautions, there's no guarantee you will be able to recruit the Shiny Pokémon. Thankfully, the encounter rate for Shiny Pokémon in Mystery Dungeon is significantly higher than that of the main series.
