Astralis is exploring options of adding two more players to its Counter-Strike: Global Offensive roster, according to multiple sources close to the team. It is unclear at this time how these will be used or if it will be in the same manner as Patrick "es3tag" Hansen, should they sign them.

When Astralis announced the future acquisition of es3tag in late March, it was explained to DBLTAP by multiple sources that it was likely he would not be the only addition to their roster in 2020. In the recent days, it appears their search for additions to the roster has once again resumed, and according to multiple sources will result in at least one more addition.

While es3tag has not officially signed with Astralis, he has agreed in principle to join them beginning July 1. Waiting until then to sign him allows the acquisition to take place without having to pay a transfer fee to the Heroic organization. Should they sign two more players, the Astralis roster would contain a total of eight players that could be moved in and out of the active lineup where rules allow.

Astralis has had a mixed bag of results so far in 2020 with a last place finish at BLAST Premier: Spring 2020 but a semifinal finish at IEM Katowice. Their online play has resulted in a third place finish in ESL Pro League Season 11 and a 4-1 record in the first stage of ESL One: Road to Rio tournament.

When reached, representatives from Astralis declined comment.
