Back 4 Blood Players Say Sound Effect Uncomfortably Similar to Racial Slur

The Back 4 Blood Open Beta is live and making plenty of noise in the gaming world for right and, apparently, for shockingly wrong.
First announced back in March, Back 4 Blood's highly-anticipated summer open beta is inviting players to experience its "intense" four-player co‑op, competitive multiplayer that puts a spin on the human vs. zombie genre.
However, one commonly encountered sound effect is seemingly very far off the mark from the rest of the experience Turtle Rock Studios was going for — zombies screaming a racial slur.

Clipped and shipped to Twitter by content creators HomBKE and DotoDoya, the zombies are saying things that would not fly with Twitch's terms of service, to say the least.
With a major component of Back 4 Blood's Open Beta being that early access codes are being handed out to players who watch partnered streamers play the game live, this voice line situation definitely needs to be addressed quick, fast and in a hurry.
Back 4 Blood is scheduled to launch on Oct. 12, 2021 for PlayStation 5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC (via Epic Games Store and Steam). The full game will also be available for free on Xbox Game Pass.
