Banjo-Kazooie Smash was the second character announcement Tuesday for Super Smash Bros Ultimate during Nintendo Direct at E3.
Banjo and Kazooie, the famous bird and bear duo from Rare's eponymous franchise, are coming to Super Smash Bros Ultimate. They will be one playable character together, but they interact with each other for special moves and abilities.

Banjo-Kazooie Smash: Famed Characters to Enter Smash Ultimate
Banjo and Kazooie will be the third downloadable character from the Fighters Pass. They join the likes of Persona 5's Joker and The Hero from Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of the Elusive Age. The latter was from in conjunction with Dragon Quest XI coming to Nintendo Switch
This is the first time the duo has appeared in a Super Smash Bros game. It also marks the third consecutive Fighters Pass character to be from a new franchise for the series.
Both The Hero and Banjo & Kazooie don't have a set release date, other than this summer and fall respectively.
