Barraskewda Evolution, Location, Stats in Pokémon Sword and Shield

Barraskewda is a Pokémon introduced and featured in the series' eighth generation, Pokémon Sword and Shield. Known as the Skewer Pokémon, Barraskewda might be a prospective choice for anyone looking for a solo Water-type to include on their team on their journey through the Galar region.

Here is everything you need to know about Barraskewda's evolution, location, and stats.

Barraskewda Evolves From Arrokuda

Barraskewda is the evolved from of Arrokuda, which evolves at level 26. Barraskewda starts to learn moves at a slower rate of Arrokuda after evolving, so players that want to get Laser Focus, Crunch, Liquidation, and Double-edge at earlier levels might want to stick to Arrokuda, but its probably more worth it to take advantage of Barraskewda's higher base stats.

Barraskewda Spawn Location

Barraskewda can be found swimming around the following locations in both Sword & Shield:

  • Route 2 Lake (Surfing)
  • Dusty Bowl (Fishing)
  • Lake of Outrage (Surfing)
  • Motostoke Riverbank (Fishing)

Barraskewda can also be encountered in Max Raid Battles in the following locations:

  • Bridge Field
  • Lake of Outrage
  • North Lake Miloch
  • South Lake Miloch

Barraskewda Base Stats

Barraskewda has the ability Swift Swim, making the Pokémon very effective to use in the rain. Both Arrokuda and Barraskewda can have its signature Hidden Ability which is called Propeller Tail.

Barraskewda's Base Stats are as follows:

HP: 61
Attack: 123
Defense: 60
Sp. Attack: 60
Sp. Defense: 50
Speed: 136

Due to its low HP and impressive Attack and Speed stats, Barraskewda is most effective as a glass-cannon Sweeper utilizing Swift Swim to outspeed all competition and knock them out before they can make a move.
