With players able to catch an abundance of Drifloons during Spotlight Hour on Tuesday, Oct. 5, we might as well see what its evolved form, Drifblim, does best in Pokemon GO.
Drifblim is a ghost and flying-type that hails from the Sinnoh region. Therefore, it is vulnerable to dark, electric, ice, rock, and other ghost types. It can withstand attacks from grass and poison types with double resistance against bug, ground, and normal-types as well as triple resistance against fighting-types.
Best Moveset for Drifblim in Pokemon GO
It has the following stats:
- Maximum CP: 2693
- Maximum HP: 274
- Attack: 180
- Defense: 102
- Stamina: 312
Its best moveset includes the quick move Hex and charged move Shadow Ball. Both of these benefit from the Same-Type Attack Bonus (STAB) condition.
Hex both does more damage and generates more energy per second (EPS) than Drifblim's other quick move option, Astonish—10 to 8 and 12.7 to 13.3, respectively. Both take around the same time to cast, meaning their damage per second (DPS) output is relatively the same as their listed damage.
Drifblim does have a larger charged move pool, but only Shadow Ball and Ominous Wind benefit from STAB—which knocks out Icy Wind from the running. Shadow Ball does 100 damage with a 40 DPS output and costs 16.7 energy to cast. This may seem like a lower number, but Ominous Wind isn't much better with a 50 damage, 26.7 DPS, and 14 energy cost.
In battle, Drifblim can be a pain to take down thanks to its high stamina stat. We recommend placing it as a Gym defender if the need arises.
Trainers will be able to catch multiple Drifloon later today, Oct. 5, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. They can evolve it into Drifblim using 50 candies.
