#5 The Houston Astros

The Astros aren't just a great hitting team, they have the arms to help complete them as a team. Their best pitcher, Justin Verlander, has been doing it for 17 years and is again, having a Cy Young caliber season. The rest of the rotation is filled by Lance McCullers Jr., Cristian Javier, Luis Garcia and Framber Valdez, all great pitchers. Their bullpen is not as strong as their starting rotation, but they are still good. What puts them at five on this list is their starters. Any pitcher you choose will be sure to do great for you.

#4 The Los Angeles Dodgers

The Dodgers are very similar to the Astros in the sense that their starters are what put them on this list.

The Dodgers are very similar to the Astros in the sense that their starters are what put them on this list. The Dodgers are led by the ageless southpaw, Clayton Kershaw. Supporting him is Julio Urías, who won 20 games last year, Walker Buehler, a young stud, and Tony Gonsolin, a surprise pitcher this year with an ERA under 2.00. What puts the Dodgers over the Astros is the stronger bullpen led by Blake Treinen and Craig Kimbrel.

#3 The New York Mets

Of course, when you think about the Mets pitching, Jacob deGrom comes to mind, and that makes sense

Of course, when you think about the Mets pitching, Jacob deGrom comes to mind, and that makes sense. Despite injuries that have plagued his career, deGrom is one of the best pitchers of all time. After him, you have one of the game's best pitchers, Max Scherzer. If the Mets had no other pitchers besides these two they would still be in the top 10. But what puts them at three is their support pitchers. The rest of their rotation is filled out with Chris Bassitt, Carlos Carrasco and Tylor Megill. Those three guys are all above-average pitchers to use. The Mets bullpen is not the strongest in the league. Led by Edwin Diaz, who at times is lights out or the exact opposite. But because of that rotation led by deGrom and Scherzer, the Mets are the third-best pitching team to use in MLB The Show.

#2 The Milwaukee Brewers

The Brewers are one of the best teams in the league for pitching.

The Brewers are one of the best teams in the league for pitching. Led by last year's Cy Young winner, Corbin Burnes. Supporting him are Brandon Woodruff, Freddy Peralta and Eric Lauer. These three guys could be the ace on other teams, but instead, combine to form one of the best rotations in the league. In addition to their outstanding rotation, the Brewers bullpen is also one of the best. Led by the Airbender, Devin Williams and one of the hardest pitchers to hit in the league, Josh Hader. All around, the Brewers are a great pitching team. If you use them, you have pitchers that can shut the opposing lineup down from the first inning till the ninth.

#1 The New York Yankees

Statistically, the Yankees are the best team in the league in pitching.

Statistically, the Yankees are the best team in the league in pitching. All five of their starting pitchers have under a 3.30 ERA. The rotation is led by stud ace Gerrit Cole and surprising star Nestor Cortes Jr. What makes the Yankees pitching so good is that each pitcher is different. Cortes only throws in the low nineties and throws from different arm angles, Cole and Luis Severino have overpowering speed and nasty breaking pitches, Jameson Taillon mixes in every type of pitch and Jordan Montgomery's arm angle is difficult to pick up. What puts The Yankees at one isn't just the rotation, it's their bullpen. Led by closers Clay Holmes and Aroldis Chapman, the rest of the bullpen is made up of Michael King, Jonathon Loaisiga, Zack Britton and Chad Green. All of these guys are great in real life and even better to use in MLB The Show.
