Black Ops Cold War patch notes were announced Monday as fans prepare for a major update. With the integration of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Warzone on Dec. 16 Activision has given us some quality of life updates to the game to make gameplay better all around. This is the first major update prior to the start of Season 1. It is also the last update you'll need until Dec. 15, which you must update in order to start Season One of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.

To start, since the release of Season One was pushed back, anyone who signs in between 10 a.m. ET on Dec. 8, and Dec. 16 can claim two free personalization bundles. This includes the "Field Research Bundle" and the "Certified Bundle."

As part of this update, we’re being introduced to the Motherland Moshpit playlist. This features TDM, Domination, Kill Confirmed, and Hardpoint on Moscow and Crossroads Strike. Hardcore Motherland Moshpit will also be available in Quick Play, featuring Hardcore TDM, Domination, and Kill Confirmed.

With the addition of this playlist we will also still have Nuketown. Nuketown ’84 will still be available in Core and Hardcore map lists, and the Nuketown 24/7 playlist will return with a "special twist" in Season One. We'll see specifically what they have in store for that map, but we've also seen reports of a Holiday themed Nuketown, so that's probably it.

Players will also be able to level up some more weapons with an extended 2XP and 2WXP Weekend for players in Multiplayer and Zombies from Dec. 12 until the start of Season One on Dec. 16. So it's your last chance to reach Prestige 3 and earn Prestige Keys before Season One begins

Additionally, this patch is set to give a major overhaul to scorestreaks in private matches. Players also are excited for the competitive changes set to make maps like Moscow and Crossroads more balanced.

You can get the rest of the bug fixes and updates here. Outside of that make sure you get all the double XP you can before we hop into Season One on Dec. 16.
