By Brian Gilmartin

Black Ops Cold War Season One Mid-Season Update is coming on Thursday. With Treyarch confirming a mid-season update coming on Jan. 14, players have some high expectations of what they want to receive. We'll take a look at everything you should expect to see in this update.
The most exciting addition to Black Ops Cold War for this update is maps. All players are always looking for more maps to play on. There is going to be a new Fireteam map called "Sanatorium." This map is playable on the Fireteam game mode, in which it is a six vs. six battle for nuclear codes. Another map we're receiving is a zombie map, in which it appears titled "Omega Outpost 25."

Besides new editions, we also have some much-needed weapon tuning that comes with the update. The highly discussed topic might be the most important part of the update. The DMR, MAC-10, and dual wield Diamatti pistols should be receiving nerfs in this update.
Lastly, there should be other bug fixes alongside all of the map additions and weapon tuning. This is a much-needed update for the Call of Duty community and the additions of the maps will bring along with it some new excitement. We'll see how the maps play out, and how well the new versions of the nerfed weapons perform.
