Blizzard Hints at Overwatch 2 Story Length

Overwatch 2's story content is one of the sequel's major draws, as fans hunger for more Overwatch narrative. Exactly how much story players will experience remains unknown, but game director Jeff Kaplan offered a hint in a recent interview with the Washington Post.
Speaking to the Post, Kaplan stated Overwatch 2 will be "a complete story experience like you would expect from any triple-A blockbuster game."

Exactly how many hours of play that statement translates to isn't immediately clear. Triple-A games range in length depending on the genre, with RPGs regularly clocking in at over 100 hours long. It's more likely Kaplan is speaking in reference to the story modes of shooters like Call of Duty or Halo. Those games tend to take between seven and 12 hours to complete, with the remainder of playtime to be found in multiplayer modes.
Blizzard announced Overwatch 2 at BlizzCon. No release date has yet been revealed.
