It appears Blizzard Entertainment is hiring for an "unannounced project" grounded within an "established Blizzard IP" in addition to its upcoming all-new survival game.

As spotted online Wednesday morning, Blizzard has posted a new job opening for a lead content designer to work on an unannounced project that seemingly has "experience creating and running pen and paper RPG campaigns, and/or live-action RPGs" and a "love of RPG games (tabletop or computer)."

"The ideal candidate presents designs that blend compelling gameplay and storytelling to help us create play areas, quests, characters, and dialogue for an unannounced project," the Blizzard posting reads. "This person must be able to collaborate within design, audio, localization, art, worldbuilding, and engineering groups to efficiently and creatively implement story-focused content."

While the talk of play areas, quests and characters certainly sounds like a game right up Blizzard's alley, another key point listed in the "Knowledge and Skills" sections suggests that the new project will be one that players don't usually see from the studio.

"Demonstrated ability to craft single player missions, quests, stories, characters, and events within game development toolsets."

Ultimately, the prospect of a single-player RPG being adapted for one of Blizzard's iconic franchises is certainly one that should be music to the ears of World of Warcraft, Diablo and even Overwatch fans, albeit the latter two already have their sequels in development at the moment.

At the time of writing, it appears Blizzard is also looking to hire some level designers for their "brand-new survival game for PC and console" first talked about on Jan. 25, so it seems the developer has plenty on its plate moving forward.
