A Bloodborne sequel, along with a PC port and PS5 upgrade, could be in the works and being developed by Bluepoint Games.

Speaking on the XboxEra podcast, host Nick "Shpeshal_Nick" Baker discussed various rumors surrounding upcoming Bloodborne projects, helmed by Bluepoint Games. Answering a fan question regarding the rumors, Baker said in the podcast: "I have been told by a couple of different sources, a couple of different things about Bloodborne. I've been told there's a PC port that's already done.

"I believe Bluepoint is doing the sequel [...] and I think Bluepoint might also be doing the console remaster of the first one. I think."

Bluepoint Games, a studio best known for its remasters and remakes, would certainly be a frontrunner for handling a Bloodborne remaster. The studio, which was recently aquired by Sony, developed the Demon's Souls remaster for PlayStation 5. The game received critial acclaim for its visuals and gameplay improvements over the PS3 original. Having shown their prowess when taking on a game such as Demon's Souls, it's no surprise that Bluepoint Games have come up in the recent rumors.

Bloodborne Sequel, PC Port, and PS5 Upgrade Reportedly in Development

Regarding the sequel, the next installment for Bloodborne has been on many fan's wishlists for a while. The rumors surrounding a sequel, much less one developed by Bluepoint, seem a little more unlikely compared to a remake. Despite this, another rumor previously stated that Bluepoint were, in fact, working on an original game and a "remake of a beloved" title. With FromSoftware hard at work on Elden Ring, it's certainly possible that a Bloodborne sequel could be entrusted to a worthy studio.

Whether or not the "original game" could also mean a sequel is yet to be revealed, though. In regards to the rumored remake, and considering the studio's work on Demon's Souls, Bloodborne wouldn't be too bizarre of a pick and likely in safe hands with Bluepoint.

Of course, with any rumors, it's best to take the claims with a pinch of salt. Until further official information comes to light, all we can do right now is speculate.
